About

Hi there :)

This is Alvan, the creator of "The Exploring Duck!" website.

Why, LOL?

It takes some mental gymnastics to finally believe that you are an adult, and can actually buy things you want, and without much explanation or justification. This was one of these cases.

Almost a year ago I bought a 100-pack of small ducks, and started leaving them in random places, and taking a photo of it. Then I quite enjoyed it, and this brought a small whimsy - a small joy to my life, and I started randomly handing out these to random people: at the cafe, in a pub, on a train, in an airplane, etc. Turns out people do indeed like a small yellow smiling duck, LOL!

Then a friend of mine mentioned that why don't I put these photos on the internet, and gave the idea for the domain name. I loved the domain name and decided to go for it :D.
